Our Solution
Our support provides pro tuners and enthusiasts with diagnostics and custom tuning capabilities for your GM vehicle’s stock control modules with convenient and direct OBDII flashing using our VCM Suite software and MPVI3 interface.
Prepare your vehicle for tuning and diagnostics with our one-time, send-in control module upgrade services.
Once upgraded, get access to the complete VCM Suite software package you know and love—scan, log, read, edit, and write capabilities.
*HP Tuners does not supply any calibrations. MPVI3 does not come with any preloaded tunes. HP Tuners provides the tuning tools and software.
GM Global B Control Module Services
This new support is made possible with the following control module services by HP Tuners. These upgrade services are a one-time, send-in service that enables HP Tuners’ full VCM Suite (BETA) software package for diagnostics and custom tuning directly via your vehicle’s OBDII port using an MPVI3 interface only.
Each supported GM Global B controller requires an individual upgrade service and individual licensing once upgraded.
GM E99 ECM
HP Tuners now supports GM’s new generation E99 ECM with their GM E99 ECM Service. Once upgraded, start scanning, data logging, reading, editing, and writing to your vehicle via its OBDII port.
You’ll get access to engine parameters like boost, camshaft timing, air/fuel ratio, injector timing, ignition timing, rev limiters, torque management and hundreds more to build customized tunes for your vehicle needs and modifications, performance wants, and driving situations.
Data log all key parameters with VCM Scanner, including MAF (Mass Airflow), Desired Boost, WGDC (Wastegate Duty Cycle), MAT (Manifold Air Temperature), KR (Knock Retard) and many others, which are critical to proper vehicle calibration.

A Step-by-Step Guide
Ready to tune your GM Global B vehicle with HP Tuners? Here is your step-by-step guide to get there.
CONFIRM YOUR VEHICLE SUPPORT.
Before you purchase anything for tuning, confirm your GM Global B vehicle’s support on our master vehicle support list. If you have further questions about whether or not your vehicle is supported, email [email protected].
ENSURE YOU HAVE A MPVI3 INTERFACE.
This new GM Global B support requires a MPVI3 interface.
If you’re new to HP Tuners, you need an OBDII interface that plugs into your vehicle’s OBDII port. This device will also connect to your laptop with our free-to-download VCM Suite software. You can pick up our latest generation MPVI3 here.
If you’re using an older generation device, you can upgrade to our new MPVI3 here.
UPGRADE YOUR VEHICLE’S CONTROL MODULE.
Each supported GM Global B controller requires an individual upgrade service. Once you purchase the appropriate service, you must remove the ECM/TCM from your vehicle and ship it to HP Tuners.
Find more details steps for shipping your control module to HP Tuners on the page where you purchased your control module service.
REINSTALL YOUR UPGRADED CONTROL MODULE & LICENSE IT.
Once you reinstall your vehicle’s upgraded control module, you must license the controller to your MPVI3 interface. Each supported controller you upgrade (ECM and TCM) requires individual licensing. And remember, you can license as many supported controllers to your device as you want.
To license your vehicle, you need to purchase a certain number of credits. You find out how many credits you need to purchase above or on our master vehicle support list.
Once you purchase credits, download the latest version of VCM Suite BETA, and resync your device. Then, assign those credits to your controllers in VCM Editor.
START TUNING YOUR VEHICLE!
At this point, your vehicle’s ECM/TCM is upgraded and licensed, so you can start using VCM Scanner and VCM Editor to scan, data log, and build your customized tunes. However, we recommend that you first scan/clear any DTCs in the latest version of VCM Scanner. We also always recommend pulling a read file and saving it in multiple places so you can go back to it if needed.
Remember, once licensed, you can write as many tunes to your vehicle as you want, indefinitely. Happy tuning!
