Production manager

Job Description

HP Tuners is a global leader in the automotive aftermarket, developing software and hardware for vehicle calibration. We are growing rapidly and are looking to add a production and procurement manager to its staff. The ideal candidate will have production supervisory experience as well as experience in procurement management.

The production manager will oversee the Day-to-day management of production activities and staff (currently 10 employees). Activities include operations such as light assembly, kitting, testing, and final quality checks. This position will also supervise a small department focused on servicing vehicle electronics.

In addition to the above, the candidate will work with established vendors to order material in advance as needed to fulfill production requirements, and ideally have experience in new vendor qualification and vendor management.

HP Tuners maintains a 1 shift operation with potential overtime. A strong desire to maintain a 40-hour work week exists. This position is located on site in Buffalo Grove and all assembly operations will occur in an HVAC controlled environment.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Using demand planning techniques, determine work priorities and production schedules
  • Ensuring quality standards are met
  • In conjunction with our warehouse team, oversee the movement of material between locations and be responsible for Work-In-Progress inventory
  • Monitor productivity rates/quality and implements changes as needed
  • Report on inventory levels and production KPIs to leadership team
  • Develop, edit, and maintain departmental SOPs
  • Makes suggestions and implement improvements to the working process/environment including ergonomics.
  • Ensure that health and safety guidelines are always followed.
  • Works with engineering department on new projects
  • Additional duties as assigned related to production and procurement management

Experience and Requirements:

  • Natural people manager with a team orientation
  • Ability to plan and manage inventory levels
  • A strong focus on problem solving and quality
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Basic IT skills including Microsoft office.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 to 7 years of experience in a supervisory role within a discrete manufacturing environment, ideally in a similar industry/environment

Senior Graphic Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to join our team in Buffalo Grove, IL. You will work closely with the Director of Marketing and Multimedia Manager to create high level print collateral and digital design assets for use across web and social.   • Digital Design: Including static social media content, website assets, and forum banner advertisements.
