Dodge PCM Service – GPEC5

• Please note this service is required to tune your GPEC5 PCM controlled Dodge vehicle.
• This service is an upgrade only service. No programming is performed during the service. If you are interested in having your PCM programmed as well, please contact our support team by submitting a ticket before purchasing.
• In addition to this service, all models require an HP Tuners 2018+ Dodge Smart Access Cable. We recommend you purchase this cable in a separate order to avoid delays.
• Please ensure you are sending in ONLY a PCM. No brackets, rubber isolators, or other pieces should be included. These components may not be returned with your upgraded PCM.
• PCMs with broken “LOCKING” tabs or connectors WILL NOT be accepted for upgrades. No exceptions.
• This is a one-time upgrade that will not affect other operations of the PCM. The factory tools will still work for service.

Step 1: Once you’ve confirmed your vehicle’s support, purchase the upgrade service.

⚠️ Please make sure to include the VIN when checking out (always double-check your VIN for accuracy to avoid delays).

⚠️ These models also require a 2018+ Dodge Smart Access Cable and MPVI3 device. If you don’t already have these products, we suggest you purchase them on a separate order to avoid delays.

Step 2: After placing your order with the necessary information, see the “Shipping” tab for a shipping form and address. Fill out and print this form to place in your shipping box with your PCM once removed. You will also receive an email immediately after placing your order with this shipping form and address.

Step 3: Remove the PCM from your vehicle and package it safely with the shipping form inside the box.

Step 4: Write your order number on the outside of the shipping box.

Step 5: Ship your PCM to HP Tuners using any carrier you prefer. The shipping address can be found on this page and in the email discussed in Step 2. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Step 6: HP Tuners will upgrade your PCM for tuning. Then, we’ll ship it back to you. The service takes 2-4 business days (not including shipping times).

Step 7: Once you receive your upgraded PCM, install it back into your vehicle. Then, license the upgraded PCM in VCM Editor by purchasing (4) Universal Credits. Once licensed, start tuning with your MPVI3 interface and the latest version of VCM Suite (BETA)!

Please allow 2-4 business days (plus the time to ship the PCM) per PCM that you send in for the upgrade process to finish (i.e., 2 PCMs = 2-6 business days).

⚠️ NOTE: Any hardware ordered with this product will be shipped along with your upgraded ECM/PCM/TCM. To avoid any delays should you require other hardware soon, please order that hardware separately.

⚠️ NOTE: Customers are responsible for shipping costs when sending HP Tuners your ECM/PCM/TCM. The shipping charge at checkout only covers returning your control module after modification.

These ECM/PCM/TCM services are completed at the owner’s risk. HP Tuners will not be responsible for the vehicle, its powertrain, or electronics, nor how the control module is used, calibrated, and its functionality.

Due to the factory location of the PCMs in the vehicle, all PCMs will exhibit signs of weathering and wear, which is completely normal.
