May 30th, 2024—As one of the most popular enthusiast cars on the road since its inception, we’re proud to now offer custom tuning support for the ND1 and 2 generation of the 2016+ Mazda MX-4 Miata using an MPVI3 OBDII device and our VCM Suite software package. This model marks the beginning of our tuning support for Mazda vehicles with VCM Suite. See below for more information on what’s needed to tune your supported Miata with HP Tuners.
New Supported Model:
- 2016-2023 Mazda MX-5 Miata 2.0L (ND 1 and 2 generations)
Key Information on New Support:
- We support the Denso SH7254 and 4096k (may also be known as MPC5746) ECUs in these models.
- No ECM upgrade required! Simply license and tune.
- Compatible with MPVI3 devices only.
- Credit-Licensing Costs: (2) Universal Credits per ECM.
- Requires the VCM Suite BETA 5.1.2754+.
New to HP Tuners and want to tune your ND Miata? Here is everything you need.
- Purchase an MPVI3 device. This is the tool that plugs into the OBDII port of your Miata so you can access the ECU for diagnostics and tuning.
- Purchase (2) Credits to license your Miata to your MPVI3 device. Our solution is a credit-based licensing system. If you’re new, we recommend purchasing the MPVI3 and (2) Credits at the same time to keep it simple.
- Download our VCM Suite BETA software for FREE! Once you have the software on your laptop and device with credits in hands, license your vehicle in the software. Then start tuning your Miata!
