Subwindows
Subwindows representing groups of tunable parameters, sensor data, or calculated measurements can be added to the layout and then moved, resized, and configured in multiple ways.
There are two types of subwindow that can be included.
■ | Measurement Subwindows present live vehicle data or data from a log file in graphical formats that may be useful for analysis. They can include gauges, graphs, or lists of parameters and their values |
■ | Characteristic Subwindows present configuration interfaces for tunable parameters. |
Adding Subwindows
To add a subwindow, select Layout > Add Control in the menu bar (or right-click in the space you wish to add the new subwindow). See the following topics for detailed instructions.
Measurement Subwindows:

Characteristic Subwindows:

Removing Subwindows
To remove a subwindow, click on the icon in its upper-right corner and then select Remove Subwindow.
Resizing Subwindows
To resize a subwindow, click an edge of the subwindow and drag in the desired direction.
NOTE: To change the width of columns in a list, select the column(s) that you wish to resize and then drag the left or right edge of the subwindow. The column(s) will resize with the subwindow.
Moving Subwindows
To move a subwindow:
1. | Move the cursor near the top edge of the subwindow. When the cursor changes to a 4-way arrow, it is in the correct position. |
2. | Click and drag to move the subwindow. |
Changing the Contents of a Subwindow
To change the contents of a subwindow, click on the icon in its upper-right corner and then select Edit Subwindow.
