Drivers Did Not Install Properly

MPVI2

To install the latest drivers for the MPVI2, follow the instructions in Preparing a New Interface Device for Use.

NOTE: The MPVI2+ is a fully "Plug and Play" device. Manually installing drivers for this device is not necessary.

MPVI / MPVI PRO

Uninstall and re-install the drivers.

Uninstall Procedure

1.

Plug the MPVI in and go to the Windows Device Manager.

2.

Expand the Universal Serial Bus Controllers section.

3.

Right click on HP Tuners MPVI Channel A and select Uninstall.

4.

Repeat for channel B.

5.

Disconnect the MPVI from the PC.

6.

Open the Add or Remove Programs utility located in Control Panel\Add or Remove Programs.

7.

Click the Change/Remove button. This will run the FTDI uninstaller program. Click Continue to run the uninstaller

8.

If HP Tuners USB Drivers is there, uninstall that as well via the previous step

9.

When the uninstaller has finished removing the device from the system, the caption on the Cancel button will change to Finish.

10.

Click Finish to complete the process.
