    timing retard

    is there a way i can retard the timing like 4-5* in high gear at a certain rpm?

    I think the answer is no. I have not seen this option in the software. Why would you want to???

    an MSD retard box wil do it for you....but it'll be a manual box (you change the timing witha dial)

    You can pull back timing @ RPM and @ cylAir but I don't
    think there's anything that's gear-specific. However you
    could probably do funny things externally (like to the
    IAT sensor, with relay logic off the transmission control
    lines) to abruptly bump you around that table (though
    you'd have to maybe use a non-real region and make
    sure that other things like fuel were not whacked at
    the same time).

    the v6 code has something that could do this but it is MPH & Gear based (used as a speed limiter), haven't seen anything like that in the V8 code yet.
    I count sheep in hex...
