I don't have a problem with either injector manufacture personally. I've used FIC injectors with complete success and I've used ID's injectors with success. In the end both injectors work for me.
It's not as difficult to generate data as some realize either. Time consuming yes but hard not at all if you have a programmable micro controller, lab grade voltage regulator and a nice gram scale or flow meter.

You're absolutely right in that its mostly time consuming.
I'll just never trust somebody who insisted that the characterization doesn't change after modifying.

I will agree that factory released injectors (as opposed to hand-modified units) should be a good thing. What we're missing here is still the same thing: complete characterization data. How many existing Bosch Motorsport injectors do we currently have complete GM data for at the moment? Not too many...
You'd think that.
Fact is, it doesn't exist. Those "new" Bosch 105s are just factory Polaris 2-stroke snow mobile injectors meant for 3 bar that have been out for years. They won't even think about opening at 5 bar without some serious voltage. The bigger Bosch piece is an unstable piece of crap.
Bosch is making one big injector that will actually be worth it. Stay tuned.

I know this is old as hell, but what about FID? How do they stack up as a newer brand for big, redrilled injectors?
