pcm dropping packets like its hot

well today the pcm was dropping packets (the huge spike down with no data) it was doing it wot. I noticed my fueling would go scary lean like around 180 after it did this is that afr reading actually correct?
has anyone found a solution to it dropping packets could it be running hp tuners is causing it?
Over stressing the processor I cant imagine delphi would over enginere the pcm with us in mind.

from what i understand its more of a case of hpt not getting the packets than the pcm not sending them . If the afr's are out when there are no droped packets i would look futher . What background programs are running on the laptop you are loging with , that could be the cause of the droped packets . a seral to usb adaptor can be the source of the problem too , some work better than others with HPT .
