WPI. We had a rough time, there were only a couple of us REALLY dedicated to it, and a LOT of kids that weren't. Oh well.

I tried getting involved at my college. I started at Rolla but transferred to SLU where they just didn't really have a program with any sort of structure. Oh well.

Still would like to see this stickied. Not to throw any tuners under the bus (notice no names have been thrown around) but to show what not to do.

Yeah it would make a good "off topic" thread, there's a number I wouldn't mind posting.

I think a title change is in order, or maybe a new thread to be made, then sticky it. That way it would be more dedicated to shit tunes, and if you ever get bored you can open a file and make a post explaining why something in that tune is bad. Might educate some noobs too!

I remember when a guy in this thread bought HP Tuners, was clueless and now has his own shop. Hope he's not the hack...

After running across this again it reminded me of an argument I had on the Camaro 5 board a while back. They questioned dyno tune or mail order tune. My point was a tune is only as good as the person using the laptop and man is this a good example. Most good tuners can tune based on an educated guess from experience better than many hacks can come up with on a dyno. I make a pretty good living off of tuning with more than half of my work being that of fixing vehicles that other shops tuned and for quite a bit of money many times.
