I haven't yet received them so I don't know. But I'll publish what is sent to me. To tell you the truth, I didn't even know there was a difference until I started researching it after I placed the order.

OK, I received 8 injectors, each with a number written on them in silver Sharpie. Also received a sheet with matching numbers, showing [email protected]/3Bar. The columns are lbs/hour, cc/min, 80% duty cycle (7K RPMs@14ms), and impedance.

    The breakdown:

    Qty (4): 480cc/min
    Qty (1): 481cc/min
    Qty (1): 484cc/min
    Qty (1): 487cc/min
    Qty (1): 498cc/min

Their website (http://www.neweraperformanceparts.com/default.asp?S=503&A=E&PKV=l42fm|0) advertises the injectors as "These injectors are all flowmatched with 1% of each other and come with a flow data sheet."

It looks like all except for the largest are within 1%. They also are a little bit larger than 42.5 lb/hr, with 480cc/min being 45.7 lb/hr. Those are 52lb/hr injectors for the LSx crowd!

I thought 7 and 5 were the leanest cylinders?

    Jim,
Do these have a blue stripe at the top? Do they have a part number on them?

They have a blue stripe and have two numbers: 01D030B and 3556. I've always heard the cylinders at the back of the engine are the leanest, which would be 7 & 8.

So in the injector spreadsheet, would I average the lbs/hour value for the 'Injector Rated Flow Rate' field - use 46.07??

    I would use 45.7 lb/hr @ 3 bar.

Are the blue Cobra 39# injectors easy to tune? I figure they'll run a little higher (40-42) at our pressure.

Only issue with them is the spray pattern. It's split so that 1/2 goes down each port of the 4V Ford heads. Probably end up with a lot of port wall spray with them.

I was going to use them in my 395 LS1. I have a home ported Fast 90 Intake, NW 90mm TB and AFR225 (66cc) heads. I plan to only run NA.

Is it a better idea to sell these and go with a set of green top 42 lightning / Lucas injectors?

Will the cobra 39#ers support 500RWHP?

Having no data that was solid to go by in the past, these were MUCH more of a PITA for me to get straight than the Lucas/Delphis...
