If you had a choice, which would you prefer HP Tuners develop?
If we do something like this, I doubt we would cover both platforms so now is your time to speak up. Let us hear your thoughts.

Pocket PC, it's much more powerful than Palm.

Pocket PC...
Pocket PC is like HP Tuners, and Palm is like Edit. PPC is gaining ground and Palm is going by the wayside.

I vote for Palm.
They are by far the most used PDA. You can get a Palm for half what you can get a Pocket PC. The programing launguage is more efficeint so you need less RAM and it computes faster (that is why they cost less).
So often I see the comapison between the Palm and the Pocket PC described as the same as the comparison of a PC (played by Palm) vs Apple (played by Pocket PC). The pocket PC has a cult following but the Palm is the main stream device.

PPC!!!
I disagree with arthansen's ideas about PPC vs Palm. Palm may be used by more people but it's the secretaries and people who just need an organizer & calendar. Pocket PC is waaaayyy more powerful.
Keith - These guys do a PC, Palm, and PPC based scan tool that you may or may not want to check out.... http://www.autoenginuity.com/

PPC has my vote. Would the capture rate be on par with a laptop?
I can make no speculations on data rate at this time.
We may go the PPC route. There are MANY ideas we have with a "handheld" device.

I am a big fan of techno gadgets, but have never understood the apeal of those things.. however if i was to get one i would get a palm (that would be my vote).. just get a fujitsu p-series laptop.. they are small and light.. perfect for tuning.. i use mine in my lap in the camaro comfertably..
its like a pocket PC but its acctualy usefull..

I use PPC every day and Love it. W/ Excel, Word, Money, Outlook, Streets and Trips, and many many more Windows progs supported, it seems the most practical. I haven't fooled with Palm, but there is a lot of different software for it. I look at Palm being the kids trinket version, and PPC being the professionals choice.
PPC vets my vote no doubt!
heres another vote for the pocket pc.

I have a pocket pc (2003), Samsung i700. I am also a customer. I would love such software.
Please do us all a favor and make it a bluetooth device. Very few (if none) have serial. Many don't have CF but have SD, but all can support bluetooth through SD/CF/ or internal.
Even better: is that you could use the Socket bluetooth Serial adapter, reusing your current hardware.http://www.socketcom.com/product/CS0400-479.asp
Pocket PC!. Have a plam already, and think the PPC would be way better.

I have a Toshiba e750. I don't know if its a palm or pocket pc, but whatever it is thats what gets my vote!
Pocket PC hands down. Now that MS is playing the market will go their way.
Palm reminds me of Novell. Great product int he day, but M$ has DRIVE

If I was going to get a device like that it would be a pocket pc.
