I downloaded your scanner stuff and the MAF assisant. In the channels your EQ ratio (sae) is greyed
out. I am using the AEM through the pro link cable. Will I need to change that to log?

So this is the VVE table and Airflow. Looks better so what would be the next area to
    work on?

That is a very sensual looking VVE table bro!

Are there any drivability issues or specific things that are bothering you with the current tune? If so, tackle those next.

    Thanks.. I think

So the shifting seems smooth but I would like to tinker with shift timing. I would also like to
get a better or faster downshift with throttle increase. I still get a lag and that cool 4 barrel
carb like sound before it downshifts. Only time it seems quick on the DS and RPM response
    of course is at WOT.

I do notice with this current tune I seem to have lost some horsepower. May be just because
    it is smoother.

Here is a log from a drive after loading in the current tune.

Cringer I watched a couple of your transmission videos. Even though I have
the 8 speed I did a couple of the changes from the second video.

    Shifting improved.

OK cool! I have never messed with the 8 speed stuff. I know its a different beast though...not sure much 6sp stuff applies to 8sp...be careful.

Just looking at the things that match up. Shift time and what not. Not going to do much more
    without more info.

The truck is driving good but still needs more.

I have what may be a dumb question, should I be resetting LTFT and STFT after every engine tune
update? Also how do you do that? Have not done this yet during any tuning and wondering if this is
    messing up any new data.

    You cannot reset stft.

Long terms can be reset via the Scanner under the Vehicle Controls and Special Functions button. It would be wise to reset these after making MAF or VVE changes. You may consider temporarily turning off LTFT if you plan to do more airflow tuning over the next few days, weeks, months. Or most people leave them disabled.

Edit: There may be other reasons to reset LTFT (like EOIT changes) or other things that impact fueling, but airflow tuning is the most common reason.

So free time is not something I have a lot of these days. So when I try to block out some
tuning time I seem to spend a lot of it just trying to get the scanner to log what I need.

It is the small victories I have to appreciate like the last one. I have been banging my head
on the dash trying to get the scanner to read the wide band via the serial port. After trying
everything I could find in the forum, I finally found the fix. Someone mentioned re syncing
the tuner. First attempt failed but I just did it with the tuner hooked up to the laptop but not
in the truck. After I re synced with the computer in the truck and connected it came to life.

When I go to log and the AEM disappears I just re sync and it come to life.

Now that I can log the wide band I am working on getting my data to work on Cringer's
    assistants.

Would you take a look at this log and tell me what is going on with the MAF? Some funky numbers that I
am not sure how to tune with.

What is looking weird in the MAF?

Why are you only logging one bank of fuel trims?

Ran this short log today. DFCO, MAF, COT and readiness disabled. Special functions = exhaust and intake cam angle = 0

If you're not interested in the time to dial in the density table just keep in mind your VVE table will probably vary up to 10% pass to pass so just get as close as you can. You can probably highlight the whole table and smooth it out just to begin with.
Two questions sir, does selecting cam desired position 0 to on in special functions accomplish this and the only Density table I have found is the cluster output. I assume this is
not what you were referring to?

So after pasting special by % from any of the VE graph's and smoothing I get something like this
after calculating coefficients. Frustration level rises!!!!
