converting from a a4 to a3 on a 98 f body

i heard from a friend that on 98's you cannot upload someelses file on to your own vcm. is that true?

you cant do that with any year/make/model. What you -can- do, is open your tune, then use the compare feature of the editor to compare yours to another tune, and then copy over the differences. I personally dont like the idea of using someone elses tune in your own vehicle, as they're not all created equal, regardless of mods.

If you're converting to a TH350 or TH400, you "could" use a stock file for a manual trans car of the same make/model/year in your car. Or just turn off all the Auto trans codes that pop up with your stock calibration...
