    VE table

    I'm beginning to understand the basics of tuning but I still don't quite understand what the ve table is used for. I've heard to increase the ve table values where knock occurs in part-throttle driving. What exactly does this do? If it adds fuel it will just change the ltft since its in closed loop, right? I'm confused!

    VE table is used as a correction to the MAF during throttle tranisents. It is used for fueling changes when in Speed Density mode and also used to sanity check the MAF.

    To reduce knock, reduce your timing in those areas.

    You can use the Histogram display on the scanner for exactly that.
