Need to know more before buying

Hi,

New guy and potiental customer here. I have been reading about HPTuner for a while now. I have LS1Edit but not that happy with it. I'm a novice tuner, I don't even have a scanner which makes this product very appealing.

Question: Will the scanner module tell me if I'm running a little lean (or rich for that matter)? Will the softwares online Help walk me through getting this information and how to modify fuel mixture settings if necessary? I've installed headers and I want to check this. I guess basically what I'm asking is will I be able to learn and perform advanced tuner functions with your software?

You will be able to see the trims and O2 readings
that give you a "reasonable" idea of rich/lean
situation (as best as can be gotten from the
factory sensors; not as good as a wideband O2
meter, but close enough for a start).

As far as being walked through it, the Help manual
stuff is not that kind of education; it only speaks to
the tool itself, not the carpentry. For that, you'd
want to hang out on the 'boards (here, LS1Tech,
etc.) and pick up your education the old fashioned
way - on the streets.
