    Ltft and MAF table

My ltfts were on the lean side (as high as +16 none in the negative)) so I adjusted the MAF table up 6%. This had the effect of bringing the ltfts between -4 and 5. Now while I'm happy with that, my car is idling rough and there is a "rich" smell from the exhaust. The histogram reads ltft -1 at idle. My question is how do I adjust the MAF table to lean out the a/f at idle? Or would I just decrease the main VE at the rpms in question? Thanks.

Let me rephrase the question; on the MAF table are the lower frequencies representing lower rpms?

MAF freq is directly related to airflow not rpm, but yes your idle will be in the lower MAF frequencies.I assume you are closed loop if your using LTFT's so trims will eventualy relearn even if you lean it out.Not sure what vehicle you have but there are some good idle threads in the v8 section.
