VCM Editor now fails writing my 2012 5.0 Mustang. It did write successfully the first time, but when I came back to write again it said:
"Uploading boot loader"
"Erasing"
"Write complete".
It does not appear to attempt writing the ECU at all anymore, it just says its done. Same behavior if I try to write the stock tune back on. I downloaded the latest beta about 2 days ago.
The car no longer cranks or starts.
Email support to get your fastest responce.
Let the car sit for 30 minutes and try again. Also, get the latest 2.25 from your customer panel.
This anomaly seems to happen randomly, and it is not specific to HP Tuners, as it happens on these PCMs with other brands of flashing hardware. As stated above, wait 30 minutes and try again.Originally Posted by caesar
