im having problems installing it and the 1.1 net framework on 98?
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

now why couldnt i get the 1.1 framwork to install?

Possibilities:
Did you already install the Windows Installer 2.0 Redistibutable before installing .NET? The compact version needs it for WIN98SE, I'm not sure about the full version.

.NET 1.1 requires IE 5.01 or later

Microsoft also wants you to be up-to-date on all the service packs and critical updates available via WindowsUpdate.
ya i think my problem is it has an old version of IE, just downloaded version 6 so hopefully that will fix it.
