    bin file size

    Ken has answered my emails except this one...maybe you guys can

    Ken just sent me a file this morning to try out on my 00 f-body with a 4l80e
    the file size is 454k vs the normal 512k. I have not loaded the file becuase of this.....does the filesize difference matter? I dont want to crash my pcm

    edit...it is a .hpt file not a bin

    make sure its a bin....2.0 now uses .hpt files instead of bins.
    It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

    it is a .hpt...just used to the old stuff...

    FWIW. My bin is 512 Kb and my hpt file is 471 Kb.

    the .hpt is an encrypted file...it doesent have to match file size of the PCM as its all done by th esoftware on the fly...
    the .bin file are RAW DATA from the pcm...so it has to be exact...

    as long as its a .hpt...dont worry about the size
