    Serial upgrade - EIO ?

    Hi -

I am upgrading my serial HPTuners hardware to the USB/MPVI hardware.

I found this helpful post :
    http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14424

    and this helpful image :

It looks like the interface plug is not the same on the USB/MPVI gadget as it is on the serial hardware and I will need to do some rewiring ?

Also, if I have the serial EIO and paid for the serial upgrade, the USB/MPVI hardware will also have EIO capability, right ?

    Thanks,
    Rob (Bad30th)

yes you'll need to use the new connector, and the MPVI pro interface has the inputs & outputs.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Thanks Bill - so if my serial unit I send in for the upgrade has EIO, I will get the MPVI pro interface with EIO ?

    Just making sure...

    Thanks !

The upgrade instructions are on your customer login page, the MPVI Pro is a $199+shipping upgrade if I remember correctly from either serial std OR serial i/o
