    WOT Shift Points Problems

I have 2 cars that are doing this.

Then the car is at WOT, the 1-2 Shift is set at 37mph and 6100 RPM, the 2-3 is set at 71mph and 6000.

The Problem is that the 1-2 shift is happening at @42mph BUT 5900 RPM, the 2-3 is at about 74 and dead on 6000.

What is causing the car to not shift ar the programmed 1-2 6100 RPM?

This is happening in both cars. one is a 98 the other is a 2001.

Sounds like the speedo calc might be off a bit. Can/have you checked it with a GPS?

Even if the Speedo was off a little it still isnt shifting at the Correct 1-2 RPM, it is Shifting at the other 2-3 RPM and the 3-4 RPM if I enable it.

Don't forget there is a time factor in there with the auto transmissions hydraulics.

Also some of the combinations end up pretty much MPH only for some reason, the RPM component doesn't seem to work as well. See if you can get the commanded shiftpoints working in MPH first then adjust RPM.

I don't know why this is the case but it is in some operating systems.

That is the 4L60E for you, good luck trying to get it to shift when you want. Some cars do and some don't. I have tried to command strictly off MPH and RPM and some cars the shifting error can be about 400 RPM. With a stock cam, not sure I would be shifting that high anyway as the power falls off quickly.

Mine shifts a little different each time. I have 1-2 set for 6300/41 MPH, most of the time it does that...then every once in a while it will shift at 6700 RPM. No idea unless the trans is slipping and RPM's come up before MPH does.
