ETC TPS Max vs. RPM vs. % Max Available Torque

Can someone please explain how this works?

When I look at the table I understand it to be showing the "% Throttle" down the left side and the RPM band at the top. That leaves the numbers in the table to be the % of max available torque.

If this is so, why would my table on my truck only show 100% torque available at 100% TPS? It would seem like best performance would be available with 100% torque available everywhere. Am I wrong?

My 2004 GTO doesn't have anything in this table because it doesn't have the electronic throttle. I can't compare notes by myself.

Thanks for any help on this!

the values in the table are the max TPS allowed for this torque and RPM. Setting them to 100 means you get 100% throttle anywhere.

This table is used to control traction, not optimise performance.

Thanks, Chris. I'm just trying to get in here and learn as much as possible.

Zombie thread...My OEM file has this table set to all zeros. I'm confused, how can it have zero TPS throughout the whole table. Car is a 99 Vette.

It more than likely doesn't reference this table in your application
"I don't care how it runs as long as it chop chops at idle"
