Piston Slap Table

I have an 05 GTO LS2. I would like to know a little more about this table. In the help function, it only says it modifies the spark advance to reduce piston slap.

First, does it add or take away from the Main spark table.

Second, it says it is used during warm up but doesn't say what table is used to determine if it's being activated. What table is used to determine when this table is active?

there is a multiplier table that is not shown that starts at 1.0 at low coolant temps and then goes to 0 as the engine warms up. Also, the piston slap retard is compared to the cat lightoff retard and the lower is generally used.

So, I assume this means the numbers in the table are subtracted from the main spark table? Also, what constitutes a warm engine. I run a 160 t-stat. Would this temp get me to 0?

I set mine to all 0. Really couldn't tell a difference.
