Historams reading just the first cell when scanning

Hello, its been awhile since I've scanned a vehicle with hptuners, but I'm only getting the first cell in the histograms even in advance , retard , or O2's and the others. I'm I missing something , I know its been awhile and I had a stroke years ago but can't figure it out, thanks for any help. Steve

This typically just means you aren't scanning the necessary pids in the channels display. Without a screenshot of what you are seeing along with the scanner log it is impossible to assist you any further than that though.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Thanks Bill. Here is a screen capture from my log and config and the log attached. I realize that it usually is an issue with not logging the correct PID but I tried several different ones with no success.

works fine for me once you create a valid histogram such as the one shown

How do you create a valid histogram? Is there a how to section to do this?

Thanks Bill, the charts work now referencing Manifold Pressure as the rows. I was trying to use Spark Airmass to align with the spark advance tables in my E38 PCM. Not sure how I translate from log to tune when the axes arent the same.

I think I found my problem, been dealing with a shorted out map sensor on the Camaro and I think its causing the graph just to read one cell, scanned my truck and its fine scanning, just the Camaro is where it has the problem on the scanner it just stays at 10 and doesn't move in the chart scanning it. And I get the dtc107 and dtc1107 which are both Map sensor codes I'll rewire it tomorrow and see if it fixes the problem.

Ran a wire from the pcm to map where it was shorted. Got my map sensor readings back, but instead of one cell in histogram its the first row now, ill have to post my log because im lost now. Will post it tomorrow when i have my laptop again.

Likely still missing a parameter in the main channels list.

I always make sure I'm logging cylinder airmass when doing timing stuff on older vehicles.

Thanks, ill try it both ways, just using the default settings. Works on my 2008 chevy truck. My camaro is a 1996 using a 1997 pcm. Never had trouble before so Im pretty much stumped.

Heres something interesting, tried another laptop with version 2.2 and it logs the Histograms except for spark retard, so I pretty sure its the programing.

You are not logging engine rpm.

It says engine speed rpm on the top, and it works fine on my truck without changing anything. What goes on the top then? I get more confused with it everyday.

You are missing the point here.

Whatever you want to log MUST be displayed in the main channels list. So if you want your RPM to be logged, you must select engine RPM in the main channels list. Currently it is missing and thus no data will ever show.

Even reference those pictures above. On the left in the channels list, that person was logging engine RPM at the very top. Your last log has very few parameters in there and engine RPM is not one of them.
