    Shut off TCS light?

Long astory short, I deleted the TCS to save some weight out of the car...Not the TCS light is always on....There has to be a way to turn it off via tuning....

Did you remoive the "brain" unit under the dash?
I've always wondered whether doing so would
turn it into a "non-TCS" car.

well, I deleted the brain box which in my car(99 T/A) was located under/next to the air pump. I also deleted the big cable setup box that sits next to the battery. SO in short I know have a throttle cable from a non-tcs car that runs strait form the pedal to the TB. I know some of it was also for the Crusie control....

But now my TCS light is always on. There has to be a way to shut it off.....

On my car the TCS brain is under the dash. I wonder if
the '99 are different, or if maybe you pulled the cruise
control module instead? I don't have the books for any
    but my year.

Can we bring this back from the dead?

I need to shut off the TCS light in the dash. Can't figure it out. I deleted the box(es) and cable(s) and went with a single throttle cable.

I also have a skip shift light on. I set enable temp to 284* already. Light still on.

    Thanks
    Andy

The brain your talking about by the air pump is the cruise servo and cruise brain, it has a cable going from it to the TCS servo just behind the battery. I pulled my TCS servo recently but I have to get a cruise cable from a non TCS car's cruise servo so it will connect to the throtle valve pulley.

I have it set up with a single cable and all servos/brains are removed.

How do I turn the light off without taking the bulb out of the dash?
Can this be done via hptuners?
Same thing with the skip shift light?

Dont pop or remove of the TCS led in the speedo cluster, I know a lot of peope just put electrical tape over that and the SRS lights. If you pop the LED it will cause problems with other instruments in the speedo cluster.

As far as turning it off with HPT, I'm not 100% sure but I think its considered part of the ABS and they dont let us touch that stuff with HPT.
