Any idea when HPT will support Ford or Dodge cars?

Interested in knowing when/if HPT will support either Ford or Dodges, with both the scanner and editor. For right now, I'd just like to scan my friend's Ford. I keep telling him how cool HPT is for my C5, but then tell him that he can't go buy it for his Ford. Kinda sucks to be a ford guy right now I guess.

People have been asking me the same thing over the past few months if I could tune their Ford or Dodge. I keep telling them not yet, it should be soon...

It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

I was told by one of the HPTuners staff that Ford would be coming "Soon" and Dodge by the end of the year.

Until they are ont he supported list it is not recommended you attempt to connect.

Ford (at least 2005 and up) runs MSCAN while GM uses ClassII and GMLAN.

I don't know what model of vehicle use what for Dodge but I know Chrysler/Mercedes/Dodge use both CAN and MOST (fiberoptic) networks in various vehicles.

In other words, you shouldn't be able to connect to anything other than ClassII or GMLAN right now.

you probably wont be able to scan them until they are on the supported list, but yes scanning them, as always, is free & no credits are used.

Dodge/Ford credits? I wonder if HPT will price the dodge/ford credits at 1/2 of what a Chevy one is.....cause they are only half the car, right? LOL

I hope it comes out soon, I have AutoTAP for a scanner and want to get rid of it. I don't like having two scanners one being 200 and the other 600.
