2003 Chevrolet Express van with Lq4 - tuning for T56

Thanks guys, engine is stock except for cam (220/224 112 lsa .575"lift), Pac 1218 springs, too big long tube headers, t56, and 3.73 gears. I've got svo green top injectors to install but was going to wait until I had the base tune figured out.

The tac module is hopefully the right one? Don't know how to identify it but has numbers etched into the module, nothing on the pedal.

I am doing a very similar thing. Nv4500 with a 2003 dbw Tahoe computer and tac. I do have a stock tune and couldn?t get a 2004 Silverado to Work. So I?m not sure what to do. I can?t find a 2003 manual tune any where

Am I safe to assume you got the harness, pedal and throttle body from a 2003ish silverado and picked up the computer separately from another guy?

I don't know the best course here but writing in a file that matches the harness you have wouldn't be a bad idea. Not having the ability to use the segment swap isn't a huge problem. You can still disable all abuse and transmission related settings and have the engine work just fine.

I purchased the complete setup from 1 individual. He'd purchased it as a spare for his turbo truck but sold the truck. Unsure of how I ended up with this certain ecm setup. I was told everything was out of a 03 express but this harness has 4wd connections?

Just found an 03 Silverado manual on Craigslist 1.5 hrs away. Guy told me he'd allow me to hook my computer up! Stay tuned!

Meeting up with him Saturday, I'll put the tune in the repository once I get back and have connection.

Hopefully this will help solve the problem, if not, I may have to lean on you guys a little to help me stumble through this. I've tuned cars before but this is my first complete screwup from the start with segment swapping and everything else needed..

Do you know if his is dbw? If all else fails you could just do a full rewrite if his file has every thing yours does. It would cost credits but it would easily fix your issue.

I'm pretty sure it is. Guy's gone radio silent, so I've started looking down different avenues. Found some 6.0/manual trucks on Craigslist that have posted VIN. Going to contact old friends to see if I can get it flashed inexpensively. Either way I'll share what I go with.

I?ve ran my 04 Tahoe computer on his 03 tac and pedal before. I was able to get my file to accept the segment swap. Both p59 iirc so I?m going to try that. Only issue with my computer is it made his Colorado fuel gauge read backwards. But I changed the information from his file for that to mine. Going to try a full write and see what happens.

Thank you very much for sharing! That would have definitely solved my problems, just opened it up, was able to segment swap everything.

I went to the pull a part this morning, cold as hell, but 40% off, got an 05 suburban ecm for $28. Swapped in CTSV segments, I'm good to go, except for stuck injectors.

I wound up segment swapping my 04? Tahoe file and doin a full write to the 03 Tahoe computer. Only thing that seems off is it will start with clutch out. I think the switch needs adjusting.
