Question Year to year stock file differences

Take a stock '99 and '01 F-body file from the tune repository and run a compare log. Anyone care to venture a guess at why we see random differences like we do that you wouldn't expect? Same MAF, electronic throttle body, injector size/style (but diff model #).

Looking at MAF and injector slopes, if you were fully doing heads/cam/injectors/etc, which year makes more sense to start from? Thinking of things like injectors offsets vs IGNV and PW/MAP, the ways the AFR adders are done, etc.

I'm sure this is the same with other cars like the FWD L36 a couple years apart. Like they started from scratch or did some other testing that got a good enough answer with two different programs.

It's most likely due to the ever evolving world of emissions & pollution control requirements. (The last thing anyone here would've ever guessed, LOL)
