how to se up this histogram?

I am trying to tune VE by wideband. I do not have the EIO cable for hpt2.0 so i made a pid using the egr position input. It reads fine in the table or the histogram. How do I now get a histogram to show Air/fuel ratio error? my custom PID for the dynojet wideband is [PID.21811]/.626=10 that corresponds exactly to my gauge.

i tried the one in hpt2 that was like 100*[{sens120]-[sens121]}-[sens121]

but i dont have a sens120 in my list which is prolly a wideband connected to the eio
    thanks for any help!!!

    yes sens.120 is wideband

nice on using the egr wire as a way to do wideband. I have thought about this many times...but then again...I have EIO

    its going to be
    100*((([PID.21811]/.626)-[SENS.121]))-[SENS.121])

assuming that your PID of [PID.21811]/.626 is Actual AFR

thanks!! I will try that in just a bit. looks like my ve is very close but my ported MAF is WAAAYyy off.

egr is easiest way my lazy butt found to do it....it does read actual afr.....i used the brown wire (center) in the egr plug on my 00 f-body. It didnt need a ground....just the 0-5v output from my DJ wideband commander
    Again thanks a bunch!!!

oh i'm using pid.2811......not what i posted above for the egr read

Just wondering if anyone else has tried this with a Dynojet Wideband Commander?

    Thanks!

Mike (silverzz28), I got it all configured for you and emailed you the custom config file and the custom histogram file.

I'm gonna bump this because I'm doing the same exact thing, just with a different filter/function string.

I was trying to set up my WB02 through my EGR for the longest time and got frusterated with it, but plugged in the scanner yesterday to check my trims. Boom, it worked..

So now I have to set up the Histogram to tune VE.

Anyway ([PID.2811]/.5)+10 is my function string for my LC1 through the EGR and seems to read pretty dead on against my LC1 display on the A-Pillar.

Would the following be the correct filter string for use with the VE_ERR Histogram I setup? (Modified from SoundEngineer's Post above)
    100*(((([PID.2811]/.5)+10)-[SENS.121]))-[SENS.121])

This would go into the Filter String for the histogram, correct? Sometimes this gets a little confusing, but I'm slowly getting better at it.

I loaded a screenshot, just for kicks... Sorry... scanner is a mess at the moment.

Under general plot, you dont need the filter string there, only in the pic on the right.
    Thanks,

    Dustin
