    1 OR 2 Wideband O2

    1 OR 2 Wideband O2

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This has been bugging me alittle. using only one Wideband O2 say on driver side for tunning. how do you know the the other side is also ok without a Wideband O2 .

any of the AFTERMARKET Wideband O2 controls support DUEL SET UP?

AEM has a dual sensor setup. I don't know if its necessary or not though.

If it has two outputs, HP Tuners can log both!

Sure it would be best to have an O2 on each side, but I think the normal setup with one sensor is right after the Y pipe if you don't have true duals.

You can put them anywhere before you cats if you have true duals.

We are about to install a WBO2 in a friends car and what we plan on doing is trying it in both sides then leaving it in the leaner side. This way you tune to the leaner side, thus safer.

Good idea, wish I could've had more say in the placement of mine.

    Re: 1 OR 2 Wideband O2

I have a question that sort of applies to this. Can I put the wideband sensor in my narrowband bung? If I do this is there a way in HPT to force it to go to closed loop? I believe it will not if there is no front O2 sensor hooked up to the ecu.

I will get 2 sensors if I can use the existing bungs otherwise I have a space issue.

    Thanks for any help

Most widebands have a narrowband output for this very reason. You can connect the narrowband output to the stock ECU and it will function as if the stock O2 was still there.

Im not running cats. Can I just use the bungs that use to be after the cats for the wideband. I mean its just straight pipe anyway or would that be to far back?

That'll work. Many dyno's get WBO2 by putting a clip on bung in the tailpipe, so the rear O2 position will be fine.
