2012 Tahoe Hybrid - speed limiter

    HI GUYS,

the owner of one brand new Chevy Tahoe Hybrid wants to remove the speed limiter from his vehicle, or at least raise it a little bit.
it can be done as usually changing the value from "GMLAN" to calibration or, since it's hybrid, something goes different???

    let me know,

    thank you!

    bye

Same powerplant, somewhat same control module. Calibration, and adjusting the limit1 and limit2 values up should do exactly what you want. Check the trams section for any more strange tables. If nothing is found go and test it!

    hi guys,
FYI the HPT can't read those PCM... they're E67A and no way to read them.
I searched a lot the web and the one who lists handheld tuner for Hybrid is Diablo... but when I called them they answered, "sorry, our web pages are wrong, no support for the Hybrids and no plan by now"

    thank you

    bye

unfortunately we are unable to order these ECM's (i don't know why). We had somebody send us one but it was broken and wouldn't communicate at all.

Until we get an ECM we cannot begin working on it.

It's gonna be a weird deal with all the hybrid tables added.

Damn, still no luck. I was hoping we could get into our Hybrids by now.

These hybrids have some really really cool stuff going on. A little tune-ability would be great. Tuning hybrid vehicles is inevitable, let's dive in head first. Just got my wife one and I can just feel it begging me to tune it.

If you have immediate access to one of these vehicles email support as I have an update to test for reading these.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Newest beta should be able to read them but they use a completely different flash chip so alot has changed, we still have alot of research to do before we'll be able to map and ultimately release anything beyond reading.

    Reading would be a start.

Yeah we've already had 4 reads from different ones sent in, first one was sent to us on 6/21 so any beta from that date forward should read them without an issue.

Hahahahahaha! You guys crack me up. You're so cute when you think that the ECU controls final wheel torque and speed in a hybrid vehicle...

I seriously doubt you will be able to solve this using a program that is only flashing the ECM and TCM, but not the Hybrid Control Module. Getting into the operation of a GM HCP is not something I recommend for the aftermarket. Having lots of first hand seat time with it, and all the support one could ever possibly need... it still was a pain in the ass and frustrating at best. Leave it alone and spend your time playing with some other vehicle.
