    HPTuners seminar (class)

Take it easy on the FNG

Just a thought but.... What if, and I know you guys are busy but... What if you were to offer a weekend class teaching the basics of the HP tuners and cover as much as possible in say 2 days.. From some sort of centralized location such as say Las Vegas???

I dont know how many people would be interested but I would be willing to pay $200-$300 for such a class.. Of course I may be the minority here..

    Just a thought... ???

    Re: HPTuners seminar (class)

I have actually attended one of the EFI 101 classes by Ben Strader. I had to travel to Chicago for it, which for me was only about 5 hours. It was a very good class and I would recommend it to anyone interested. He uses his own materials for the class portion, but the tuning is mainly focused on aftermarket EFI's (standalones), I wasn't fortunate enough to take the advanced class but we had talked about it and that day he was using one of the other instructors civic's, I can't remember the program now, it started with either an "A" or an "R". It was definitely a good class though.

He goes through the entire process from start to finish

    Re: HPTuners seminar (class)

Plan to attend a EFI 101 class HOWEVER wouldnt it be nice to have a HP TUNERS specific class?

Kieth if there were enough participants would it be something that you guys might do? Heck maybe even make it a prerequisite to have attended a EFI 101 class so you know that you wont be dealing with 100% green peas...

Maybe I am one of the few that would enjoy this..

If ANYONE would be remotely interested maybe express your interest in this thread so there might be some indication of how many people would be interested..

    OR

If you are someone Who has the knowledge AND ability to teach a class (incase no one from HP is actually interested in doing it) say something here..

Sounds like a good idea for intro to basics kinda thing ...

instead of doing it at a set location could even consider a web based seminar or CBT that could be purchased... or maybe a virtual meeting (att offers some really nifty web meeting services w/phone services ... I work remotely ... closest coworker is 200 miles away and most are over 1000 miles away, and this has worked well for us for the past year)

    Re: HPTuners seminar (class)

There aren't currently any HPT classes. This thread is to gauge interest in an HPT class and to see if any of the HPT guys would like to do something like this.

    Re: HPTuners seminar (class)

Would like to attend one if in midwest. By the way, no offense taken to the remark about greenpea's. LOL! It would be great to be able to attend a class that was HPTuners specific. Have 20years mechanical background and would think that a class like this would help show this ole dog some new tricks. Keep us posted if you decide to do it.

I beleive Keith is in chicago area, even though I'm fairly comfortable using HPT, I'd go to chicago to learn a few things from him.

Hands on tuning can't really be accomplished very effectively online.

Ok so here is the question?
    Keith or Ken......Or anyone capable?
What would it take or how much would it take for one of you to hold a two day class on a weekend if you didnt have to worry about setting up a meeting room ect... You say what city and someone else does the leg work?
