    Explanation of Paste Functions ??

Can you point me to an explanation of paste special, add, multiply, etc. in the editor. Would also like to see the same for color codes after pasting.

    thanks

Paste add adds whatever you copied
paste multiply multiplies whatever you copied
paste subtract subtracts whatever you copied
past multiply by 1/2 mutliplies by 1/2 of whatever you copied ie if you copied 10% it will multiply by 5 %

Thanks Bill, no doubt the above is self explanatory. More curious how the software interprets a negative value in the scanner, copy, paste it into the editor, and by some miracle knows to take the negative value and make correct adjustments. i.e. mixing positives with negatives.

Any place I can also find info on the color doing in the editor. When making changes all these pretty colors show up in changed values, any key in the colors? i.e. blue means trims went positive, pink negative, etc.???

    thanks

Our help file is always a great place to start for information regarding our software http://www.hptuners.com/help/vcm_editor_navigation.htm

As for further info on how subtract works, try it out. The only time I've found use for subtract is when pulling timing due to knock retard which is always a positive number in the histogram. I'd be curious to know in what instances you are using it to subtract a negative number.

The darker the red the further away from the saved value in the positive
The darker the blue the further away from the saved value in the negative

ie if your saved value was 0 & you then set it to -20 it would go blue, if you set it to +20 it would go red.
