VCM Editor supports several styles of navigation. Based on your preference and requirements, you can choose a navigation style that is perfect for your task each and every time.

Tab Style Navigation

Tab Style Navigation is still the primary navigation system for VCM Editor. You will only find pages like DTCs and Speedometer Recalibration through the tab style navigation forms.
The tab style layout will also be more beneficial when you want to get an overview of a calibration, or wish to compare files. Clicking through tabs is much faster than clicking through menus in the tree style navigator.

Tree Style Navigation

The Tree Style Navigator will come in handy when you want to make a quick change to a few constants without having the entire parent forum open and in view. The tree style navigator will only bring up the group of parameters you select in a much smaller window. The new window will be reused every time you open up a new group of parameters using the Navigator window.

Understanding the colors

VCM Editor has a very graphical layout to make reading your calibration and comparing your calibration to other files much easier. Understanding the colors will help you navigate through your tunes at a much faster pace.

There are two color sets. One color set for when you only have 1 calibration file open and another color set that builds off of the base color set for when you have a primary calibration open as well as a compare calibration.

Primary Calibration Open, No Compare File

	No changes have been made to the High Octane table.

Primary Calibration Open With Compare File

	Primary file matches compare file. No changes have been made to the High Octane table.
	Primary file matches compare file. High Octane table has been changed and has not been saved to file.
	Primary file is unable to compare against compare file. No changes have been made to the High Octane table.
	Primary file is unable to compare against compare file. High Octane table has been changed and has not been saved to file.
