Thread: How's beta testing going for the Jbodies??

I think its pretty obvious by the size of this thread that there is substantial interest in the 4 cyl market.

There is no misunderstanding, believe me!! There is a dedicated chunk of time allocated to finishing the 4cyl product. It starts once 2.0 is released and ends when we have a product in the market.

Time is our only enemy at the moment and we undersatnd your frustration. None of us like to make promises with an unexpected 6 month delay in between.

Re: How's beta testing going for the Jbodies??

Well i for one think you guys know what kind of market the GM 4 cylinder crowd is and are making an honest effort to make something happen.

I also understand that it takes time, and well as you know when people have to wait it can get ugly sometimes.

But one question i have is this, Can you say with a definate y Yes or No that the 4cylinder tuner software will happen this year or not??

Thats all i really need to know, because to be honest i would love to have this for my car now, but i wont really absolutly need it till my turbo engine is built and ready to drop between the fenders, and that is going to be late this year atleast.

I think the 6 month delay already happened :-/

I'd expect it this summer - but then again I'm only guessing. My business is too dang busy to keep following up. I need a clone... :

    YES!

Although I'd like to see it for my 99 2.4l too. As far as the ECO goes I assume I'll have the emanage installed and tuned b4 this comes out. So lets hope it comes out for the 99 so I can s/c that.

TurboEco, if you check the gm performance page you will find there is a factory super charger available for the 2.4 litre that includes factory calibration at any dealership (done with using VCI number)

    Thanks Shifted.

It also doesn't work for 95-99 2.4's, Rattle.

I too would love to see this software available this year. It'd be a MUCH, MUCH better solution for my turbocharged 99 2.4 than an eManage.

The HPTuners guys have been deathly silent, here and on the other forums. I hope this is a good sign that 2.0 will be out soon...

Re: How's beta testing going for the Jbodies??

Is the release of 2.0 going to make the software for the J-body's easier to complete? I really hope the answer is yes, I've been waiting for this software for a LONG time now, I hope the wait will have been worth it. It's a major bump in the road for alot of us, and the only thing keeping many of us held back.
