Finally got the 97 GMC ext cab 2002 LS1 conversion completed. Did some tweaking with HPTuners and it's awsome. I just need to figure out how to work the tables and change shift points etc....I'm gonna keep on reading but if someone has some advice for a ext cab truck with 3200 stall, 220/220 581/581 115 cam, 4.10 gears, dual K&N C5 intake, mid length headers, etc..let me know. I'm not asking for a free tune, just some pointers to get me in the right direction. Thanks!

I mostly play with Vettes.......but have tunes my Dads 04 2500 6.0L Stock and have spent tons of time learning on my 05 1500 5.3L with bolt-ons. Which I have been kicking around either a STS kit or a cam swap.

So how is everyones' tune progressing?

Mine, I just installed a comp cam XR265HR cam on my 1500HD and tuned it with HPTuners and my AEM wideband. WOW! What a difference, I love the way my truck drives now. Oddly enough and for the mods I have, it has plenty up pick up now. It is much faster then before, I am a very happy HPT-camper. I am using 87 octane and 28 degrees at WOT with NO knock.

Tune is going slow. Added meth, getting AFR inline now with it is a bit of a PITA. Still pig rich in 3rd. Going to get serious with tuning now being I can't bolt much more on to screw it up. Gotta have the MPVI PRO. Get AFR and boost, and fuel pressure into the log realtime along with not having to throw the laptop around all the time. Get serious about VE, and idle tuning etc...

My tune could use some help, I am spraying alky with the super charger and it sure would help if I knew more about what I was doing, But I keep reading and asking question from people that know more about it than I do and there are some good people on here that try and help

Tune is going well, got it leaned out about right now. Added quite a bit of timing, and fiddled with alot of ignition settings, but i think theres still more power to be had. Feels much improved but tonight I finally get to take it out the track to see what kind of improvements i've made. I have along ways to go. My baseline at an 1/8th mile track was 10.25. Hopping to see the 9's. Then I can screw with the Mustangs. Any tips or advice is much welcomed.

    Here's another one

I have a 99 GMC Sierra 5.3L I have a 60-1 p trim turbonetics turbo, no cats yank 3000 rpm stall converter, perma cool electric fans, powertrax locker and hp tuners with lm1 wide band. I am right in the middle of tuning the truck and wish hp would hurry up with the RTT update for my application! I've had tons of fun melting the tires off!!! I went through quite a learning process with the program being new at this. BUT it's going good.

I am glad to see so many truck guys tuning their rides.
Yea look what you started. Its great if you have a GM Product, the wait for some of has required the use of inferior products to get our rides close to dialed in..

I just pulled the trigger and ordered the MPVI Pro.....

HP Tuner guys, please step up the R&D for the Dodge and Ford guys. I need to tune a '99 Ram 5.9L Magnum, lets get er done.

Oh yeah, no kidding. I am constantly asked by SRT guys about tuning. Even the truck guys ask.
