More than likely you already have the scanner software if you've gotten a beta in the last month or two. Actually I was scanning the dodge rental I had back in decemeber so scanning isn't much of an issue.

Doh, I got the last beta when I was having issues with the 2010 Camaro I tuned last month. I guess I am asleep at the wheel

BTW, the Dodge scanner goes fastest when you don't scan any SAE PIDs. I think all the SAE PID's have a non-SAE equivalent + a lot more.

Is the Dodge scanner beta just reading OBD data at this point or is it displaying fuel tables, etc.?

(I'm anxious to buy the VCM Editor/Scanner package but not until I know what it can do and when. I bought a $350 Superchips tuner that was supposed to have custom tuning and NEVER delivered. Not doing that again).

Chris added the enhanced pid's to the most recent beta for most of the NGC3 operating systems.

so is the tcm tuning coming out with the next version or a ways down the road?

To get the latest beta you have to email support and request it.

So I ran the scanner on a 2005 magnum I had on the dyno last week. It was awful, very few supported PID's and I couldn't get what I needed. It could just be the 05 ECM (which is garbage to begin with) because the early 05 cars are a pain in the butt to tune too. I just thought I would share. I was pretty disappointed.

The older beta only supported SAE pids, Chris added the enhanced pids for most of the known os's recently so unless you are using the most current version of beta software you would only get the 40 or so SAE pids which is normal.

Get the newest beta, if you don't use any of the SAE pids, the data rate with enhanced pids, is excellent . Much better than the other option for logging with these NGC controllers. I'm currently using it to tune a 2006 Turbo 300C in our shop.

Ditto, I've used it on several 06's at the dyno and the track. It is definately my scanner of choice for tuning.

I have been logging my 09 Superbee with the latest beta. Talk about a lot better. I was disappointed with the support on the 05's, but like I said, the 05 ECM is garbage. I spent 5 hours with an 05 magnum on the dyno because the battery had to be disconnected every time the vehicle was flashed or the tune wouldn't stick.

I am so used to tuning with HPT that I am really looking forward to the HPT dodge support. Tuning with some of the other software is not as straight forward.
