Ignition Advance table
Along with LS1**it for GM VCM's, I also tune Electr*m*tive ECM's and the Ignition Advance Table in that product only offers setting the advance in cells defined by MAP kPa and RPM. I understand the difference between tuning that way vs. Gms/Cyl but I was wondering if there is some facility to translate from a Gms table to a kPa table.
Please spare the lectures about the superiority of Gms/Cyl, I get it . Just looking for a way to make some rough correlation from the better way to an archaic one.
BTW, I ordered my VCM suite yesterday!
Thanks in advance.

Re: Ignition Advance table
There's a good thread on VE table on the ls1edit pcm forum.
The car must run in both MAP and MAF mode. I'm guessing it uses either or and both to calculate the ve. Since some cars come without a MAF (aussies) and they still run.
i tune speed density as well, and quite honestly the way i look at and tweak VE is the same. If the motor isn't right at a set point, i just change that cell and try again. But there has been some good discussion on the ls1edit pcm forum. Worth checking out.
