    MAFLESS Tuning?

One of our models over here (HSV GTS) runs MAFless from the factory, but it only comes in manual form.
I have heard that running an auto MAFless results in the auto trans not shifting properly or locking itself between two gears. Is this true?
What happens if you have a MAF failure? I thought it goes into "speed/density mode" anyway.

Some of our "tuners" over here do run MAFless autos, so I know it can be done, but how?

    Re: MAFLESS Tuning?

on rare accasions, some older calibrations have some diagnostic flags set that raise the trans line pressure if the MAF fails, resulting in hard shifts even at light throttle. If you have this occur i can help you get rid of it by editing the file manually.

We will be supporting the ability to modify these tests out in a future version of VCM Editor.
