Anyone ever seen phanton misfire flashing check engine light?

Misfires turned down because of cam and all, but NO misfires showing current on any cylinder, and check engine light is flashing away??

So if you start car, it shows little bit of misfires current in log, and its stuck in open loop, check engine light flashing. If you clear clodes, misfires stop counting, check engine light stops flashing and it goes into closed loop like normal. Later might start flashing again but doesnt show curent misfires counting up

It might just be the polling rate of how your scanner is setup. I've run into this problem before and finally just turned off misfire monitors all together. On the ones I leave misfire monitors in place I raise the rpm setting to look for misfires up above 3300 that way it'll still show a dead miss, but none of the phantom stuff.

The polling rate is fast enough to see the misfire counters in any other vehicle

this can happen when the ECM determines the crank acceleration and deceleration pattern has changed from the learned pattern.

a crank relearn can usually fix it if this is what is happening.

Bu it usually stores a code when this is the case does it not? There are NO codes in the system, none

If the SES light is still flashing, you most likely still have a misfire. Put all your misfire tables back to stock, multiply by 1.5 just to numb them down a hair, put the P0300 DTC reporting back to stock, then log misfires on each *individual* cylinder. I bet you'll find your problem.
