Thread: Large injectors? Seemed to be capped at 1.8ms on a GEN 3? Look into this....

    Large injectors? Seemed to be capped at 1.8ms on a GEN 3? Look into this....

    I see this often. 3 times in the past week on here alone.

    There are two settings in the transient section that need to be changed.

    ECM 2284
    ECM 2282

    I've seen some people say to reduce it by the same proportion as your injectors are from stock. That seems reasonable. I've never had an issue just completely zeroing them out.



    There are no units on these values, although the first has Milligrams in the name. I ASSume they are min pw or min pump shot the transient can call for. That same PW or PS on a larger injector is far too much. This value effects things other than transient (pedal movement) like straight up idle. In fact the difference noticed after changing this can be fall directly into the steady state category and not transient.

    What do you change them by? Based on percentage injector flows? Arbitrary? Trial and error?

    Only issue I see is, on my 04 truck, os 12587603 with and without the 2 bar os, 2282 isn’t available to edit, 2284 is. I checked a few different 03+ truck p59 and none had it, however the older 02 and older do. I had emailed support a few weeks back asking if we could get access since supposedly all of those warmup transient tables are there, but the engineers said can’t be done.

    Anyone ever had luck actually getting 2282 added?

    just zero the one you have.

    You have a file with 2282 editable? im not finding it on any trucks.

    Nevermind, found it on a 02 z28. Im sure i have that in a xdf for other os.
