    Ripoff

Figured I would let the community know about the level of support you get from HP. I installed and new cam in my Durango. Got a custom tune for it, did not run good, data logged for the tuner and then was updating the tune, PCM fried during flash. Installed a new from Dodge PCM and then the HP tuner said the vehicle was unlicensed. Contacted HP and was told I would have to purchase another VIN license since the PCM was replaced. I went back to my old Diablo InTune and it tuned the vehicle just fine. I just purchased this HP for this cam swap and have also purchased 5 other VIN licenses for other vehicles and spent just under $1,000 in the last 2 months with HP. I will not be recommending HP to anyone and will be purchasing a Holley Terminator X for my Durango. Just my experience with them, others may have better luck.

They must be more than just VIN locked, they must be locked to the serial number of the PCM too. Wow, it's not like you are ripping them off, you can not use the old pcm.
I am not the guy that tunes transmissions, our username is similar. If yo message me about I am not replying anymore.

That's exactly how the system works. Not sure how that's a rip off.

I think that's a fantastic idea. Go spend a grand on an aftermarket ECU and another few grand trying to get it to play nice with the rest of your vehicle. Makes perfect sense to me. Don't forget to come back here and tell us all how well that worked out for you.

I replaced the E69 in my car and did not have to relicense/purchase more credits.

When you replace the ECM with another one it is unlicensed and you have to buy a license for it. Any idiot knows that. Why did you brick it in the first place?
Oh and you bought % licenses. Big spender aren't you.

Best of luck with your no support transition to Holley. LOL
