If getting the valvetrain right is going to cost me another 2k then it just is what it is.

I loosened the rockers, didn't change much. got maybe 50 more rpm out of it but that could be random, felt the same.

Tried to install my stock rockers, The hardened pushrods that came with the engine are only 7.100". I tried test fitting my stock push rods and they were still way too short. Now I would need a checker to measure the correct length and buy pushrods just to try the stock rockers.... This is slightly irritating ha-ha.

It'd be cheaper to select a cam that would work with PAC 1219's. The very slight difference in power will be made up by revving higher, and the engine will last a hell of a lot longer.

Ok. I think I'm going to put it off until I get my new shop next month. I'll have a place to kill it while I get all of the valvetrain correct. I'll stop driving it for now. I really appreciate all of you guys insight.

I think you probably don't need more open pressure; it's probably fine with 400 open, it just needs more than 140 or whatever it is on the seat (depending on the installed height, which is as yet unknown). I'd really highly suggest reaching out to BTR and giving them all the details and asking for a spring recommendation.

Says on their site they recommend the .660 Platinum springs and it has those specs on the product page. [email protected] and [email protected], [email protected].

I'd recommend using their "tip saver" kit as well. They're being sold as valve tip savers but the side bene is they give the rocker a much larger and smoother surface to spread the load. I've installed them in a few builds recently. None have ran long enough to give any opinion on wear or lack of.

Yeah, but 'recommended' for what combo? What rockers? What RPM? This one seems to work just peachy up to 6300, they're perfect for that much.
