For those experienced in GEN5 Z06 tuning, what AFR seems to be the sweet spot? 11.5?
Also, I'm going to plumb-in an EGT probe right at the collector on headers so I'll be able to see the correlation between the temps and AFR.
Thx

why don't you just download z06 stock tune from repository and start there?

all the oem tunes that I downloaded had stoich at 14.1 Is that because of the gas alcohol content?
I'm in nth Florida...93 octane, but I believe 10% ethanol.....so 14.1 is good (stoich) and 11.7-12 at wot??

14.68x.85=12.48
14.11x.85=11.99
Don't think about AFR, look at units of lambda...
Say you have a flex fuel sensor and you have e50 in the tank.... What AFR value will your afr Guage show at idle..... This will help you understand better

I understand most of this, what I am asking is whether I should be using the 14.1 that was oem on my vehicle and all the other oem tunes that I downloaded, or 14.7 ? which I assume is what Higgs based his reply on. I only use afr for talk, I walk with lambda....lol
thx

Yes lambda .83
When I speak in afr it's based on 14.68 since that's what everyone's brain is programmed to for stoich even though stoich today for pump is usually 14.1
Whoa! Thanks for all of the responses! (more than I bargained for!)
Thanks to all! I'll have some data-logs to share soon....and likely ask for more help.
out here in California on 91, I've had better luck targeting a little more rich Lambda, more like .80ish... it allows me to get a little more timing in it and a little more power. Plus if the customer is tracking the car (road course) or sustained highway pulls, the cats (if the car still has them) will appreciate the added fuel and more timing.

Thanks for the great content and suggestions! It's for a road course car, so conservative (cool) is key. Highflow cats are in the ARH headers, but may swap out for catless if the heat becomes a problem, which is another reason I'm intending to watch EGT's.
Adjusted stoich directly effects fueling by itself.... So if your actually using 14.1 as stoich and a 1.25 PE your are targeting 11.2....
I personally would never use 1.25 PE value on a Di blower setup....
Then again you guys with crappy fuel are trying to keep things cool.. To each there own
