I know it's stupid...
But the manual transmission cars can rev @ 5700.
Where can I disable the rev limitor @ 4000 ???
I can't find it in hp tuners

Maybe post the file you are working with, There are about 7-10 different V6 pcm's we cover all of which use different strategies.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

great!
it's a 98 V6 3.8 Camaro
Here is the tune
I've tuned it yesterday (transmission, !cot, !egr, !governor)
I've tuned the VE table using LTFT. 0-1%
(no wideband in my friend's car... the wideband is on my c5)
I want to do it in another camaro (99)
maybe we can make a sticky with all the possible strategies for the different years / model !
(I'm interessed to do it to C5 too)
I'm learning everyday !
Your product is great !!!
We don't want to do it... becuase it *is* stupid (lol).
It is real easy to spin the bearings on an engine that hits high RPMs with no load. Thats why GM put that limiter in there for us... to prevent those that are not too bright from damaging their engine.
'99 Black GTP Sedan
3.4-2.6" PB Quick Change pulleys, Custom CAI, XP Cam, N* TB, LQ4 MAF, SLP headers, 42.5# Injectors, 180/195* thermostat.
13.501 @ 103.392 on 91 (2.4 60-foot).
13.82 @ 105.28 on 87 octane! (2.42 60-foot).
263kph top end as shown on the GPS.
All this and 39MPG to boot. What more can a man ask for?
* Just another enthusiastic amateur tuner! *
with my mn6 I can rev still 6000 rpm... it's stupid , but I'm doing it twice a year ... for exhaust video for example.Originally Posted by JerryH

By the way, I'm learning hp tuners, and I want to know where I can tune it...
Engine-Fuel Control-Fuel Cutoff.

great! thanx !
how can I make my Silverado pass 98 ??? thanks in advance
Your question makes no sense.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.
If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.
Re: PASSING 98MPH - You should be using HPT in "Advanced Mode" under View. Then look for speed limiters in your Engine and Transmission, and Speedo sections. You should also check out areas related to Torque Management & Abuse modes for even more limiters in some cases. You can also post for help with this vehicle in the V8 section as they are very used to your PCM & transmission over there.
If his silverado has a aluminum driveshaft I highly suggest not removing the limiter, the factory shaft can and will explode at speed above 100mph.
