The slope doesn't look bad.
Sorry to hit you with so much already. Lol. I just had an epiphany. If i'm meeting all the tune requirements for PE, wouldn't it have to be due to the MAF tune?
I have a "strong" MAF that my last tuner said I didn't need, so I never installed it. Currently running with the "Weak" one. Would this be worth changing and logging to see if it helps before I even attempt to retune?
After reading all of my questions, am I just pissing in the wind and be better off just tuning for the 3bar MAP?
Check this out!
Changes to tune:
DA High Rpm Disable to 2,000
MAP PE Enable to 70KPA (Will probably turn this up to 75-78 or so)
PE Hot Pedal to 5%
PE Delay to 300
INSTALLED STRONG MAF
And here's the log. I think it did what I needed it to do, maybe sometimes prematurely, but ran good. (Butt Dyno showed good numbers)
Hey sorry, had to do some work on mine today so haven't been on here
I'm not sure what methanol does to the AFR honestly.. I know it has a very high octane rating and gets cold quick when it evaporates, so it helps with IAT's a lot.. but for some reason I'm thinking it's affect on AFR's is weird. I need to do some research on this (just installed methanol on mine too..)
Did you have a particular question about dynamic airflow high rpm disable? If you're running a MAF only tune then you'll want both the enable/disable very low. I do enable at 200 RPM's, disable at 100 RPM's.. "dynamic airflow" basically means using the MAF only for airflow calculations
Doesn't mean it's good
No. I'm not sure what strong or weak MAF means honestly..I'd put whichever one you want to be on there in the end and go with it. The stock ones aren't bad IMO.
I would install the 3 bar MAP regardless.. can't hurt. And you'll need it for sure if you go SD
I'll look over it in a sec

Can you post the latest tune too?
Add "air fuel ratio commanded hi res (afr)" to the items you're logging.. that way you can compare the actual wideband reading to what the computer is commanding.
MAF curve needs some adjusting I think, but didn't look too bad. Average fuel trims look to be going to about -6% from 3550hz to 5200hz (not exactly but close enough).
In the first pull it was up around 0.85 lambda, but it went down to under 0.80 on some of the later ones, so I'm not sure what made it change. I bet the meth is why it's OK regardless though.. I see the IAT's going down during hard pulls so I can only assume that's why. That's pretty cool to see.. I haven't moved my IAT to after the meth nozzle yet
So.. short version: post tune, MAF curve needs some small adjustments it looks like, add commanded AFR to what you're recording.
You can either use fuel trims to adjust the areas where fuel trims are 'active' (i.e. while not in PE) or disable them and use the wideband across the board for tuning purposes. You'll have to use a wideband to tune once you're in PE regardless and it's easier to do without fuel trims messing with things IMO

No problem at all! I appreciate all of your help. I'm not trying to take up all of your time. Lol
I am logging AFR commanded high res. It should at the top of the chart.
I think previous tuner has my PE EQ ratio vary according to when Meth sprays. I'ts not flatlined. I will post the tune for you.
Didn't know I could just install the 3 Bar without tuning for it. I will definitely throw that in there!
Also, my histograms seem to be working now, not sure if they are working correctly though.
Yes, the meth works wonders! I don't know the affect on AFR truly. I've doing research on that, as well as everything else, as well.
Here's a pic of how I set up my IAT's with the meth nozzle, not sure if it will help you. The setup seems to work pretty good I guess.
One pic of both IAT's and one of the IAT's and meth nozzle.
I will post A screen shot of the histos soon as I can.
The "theory" behind GM's strong and weak MAF.

I just looked at some pictures of mine from when I bought it and I'm 99% sure I got a "weak" one. That may explain why the MAF signal is so unstable. I was going to add a honeycomb to correct it, and still will, but it might be worth me looking into one of the "strong" MAF sensors as well. More research is required!
I can feel the car almost pulsing for lack of a better word as the MAF signal jumps around.. hmmmm

It looks like my fuel trim histograms are working. This look right? For some reason I CAN NOT get the AFR error histo to work! Driving me nuts. The afr error PID doesnt even work. I don't get it.

Do my fuel trim histos look right though?
The second picture is not quite right..
Clear everything out on that tab, then for the col(top) axis set the sensor to mass air flow frequency, unit to hz, then put these in for the labels.. Leave everything else blank on that page (should be same as you did for the fuel trim ones earlier)
1000,1150,1300,1450,1600,1750,1900,2050,2200,2350, 2500,2650,2800,2950,3100,3250,3400,3550,3700,3850, 4000,4150,4300,4450,4600,4750,4900,5050,5200,5350, 5500,5650,5800,6000,6200,6400,6600,6800,7000,7200, 7400,7600,7800,8000,8200,8400,8600,8800,9000,9200, 9400,9600,9800,10000,10200,10400,10600,10800,11000 ,11200,11400,11600,11800,12000,12200
Then add the AFRerror PID to the table display, same as you did with the MAF hz one a few days ago, and see what happens..
