This past winter i put a ls engine in my 69 camaro. I got a start up tune on a 2002 ecm out of a silverado from psi conversions. The car started right up and idled pretty good. I bought a HP Tuner to start learning how to tune my cars….right now i'm trying to get my engine to at least a drivable state. When i put the scanner on it there are so many things out of whack along with my rookie tuning status i don't know were to start?? I have been reading and looking at post for a few hours a night the past 3 weeks. I have a 5 pin maf…. i'm told the flow rate is that of a 03 to 07 corvette. Does anybody have a tune with a 5 pin maf so i can set the maf vs frequency with-in the ball park? Then i can set the fir and move on from there. My tuner can't see me for at least another month and i want to drive my car! The stft's were real lean as were the ltft's pegged at 25%, I adjusted my injectors to flow at 65psi with a 42lbs@58psi injector rating. I kept upping the maf vs frequency until the stft came down to about 0 but the ltft are still around 22…so still running real lean. Should i look for a intake leak or something or do you think it's all in the tuning??? LOL…i thought i would pick this tuning thing up faster but….apparently it's going to take some time and i want to drive my damn car So with some help from people here maybe i can at least get it to a safe state and drive the car until i get it to the tuner. The specs are: lq9 stock bottom, 0821 heads, ls3 intake, Nick Williams 92mm cable driven TB, spectra CAI and a 273LSR comp cam 223/232 .610/.617 112lsa. I've put a few post out and have not been very successful at getting responses…..i'm sure i'm not asking in the right way or giving the right information to get help
