New ECU programing

I have customer that i tuned about 6 month ago (2000 camaro z28 LS1), he recently contacted me and told me he had to get a new ECU due to code p0353, and was diagnosed as a bad ECU. I have been trying to find out if i can rewrite a new ECU with his with his vin with out using more credits. And will i even be able to read a brand new ECU not sure if there is a base file or base tune on it.

You would need to license the computer then you can put his original file in the new computer
