Thread: Do I have to be in PE mode for BE mode to trigger?

Do I have to be in PE mode for BE mode to trigger?

I want to disable my fuel trims at idle and the best way that I have found/read to do so is to force PE at idle with a 1.0 correction factor, then use the TPS table to trigger PE when needed at higher RPM's. My problem with that, is that I have a TVS blower that can make boost quickly and at low TPS.

If the condition for BE mode is set (kpa based) but the condition for PE mode is not (TPS), will I still get BE mode or do I need PE then BE in that order?

On the E40, it should trigger boost enrichment regardless of whether or not you've met the requirements for power enrichment.
